Working to a common set of principles, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Local Authorities (LAs) both enforce  a significant amount of legislation. Primary Legislation, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 is substantiated or supported by secondary legislation known as 'regulations'.

The HSE and LAs enforce at local, regional and national levels - meaning that business of all sizes need to be highly aware of their evolving health and safety obligations.

In 2005 the HSE published the 'Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005' and 'Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005' which are both currently enforced.

As a response, Focus Health and Safety provided Noise at Work and Vibration at Work training courses throughout 2013 - 2015. These courses are especially useful to almost any business or organisation with a need for noise training or vibration training.

IOSH Accredited Noise Courses and Vibration Courses

Noise and Vibration Training Background

The Industrial Noise and Vibration Centre (INVC) Ltd

All courses in 2013-2015 were delivered by tutors from the Industrial Noise and Vibration Centre (INVC) Ltd. This enabled Focus Health and Safety to deliver courses in conjunction with practicing Noise and Vibration Control consultants. These consultants represent a highly regarded firm, with unprecedented acoustic engineering and teaching experience.

For 2016, INVC Ltd have taken over all hosting and admistration of the courses, so you may now deal direct with the tutors. The courses remain exactly the same and are, of course still IOSH accredited. So for locations, prices and availability, please call INVC course organiser, Dainne Prior, on 01753 698800. For any other enquiry, please use the contact page.
